JR. MASTER GARDENER

What is the Junior Master Gardener club?
Junior Master Gardener is a year-round youth gardening club held at Thanksgiving Point in connection with USU Extension 4-H. Our Junior Master Gardeners design, plant and take care of the gardens at Farm Country.

Through authentic outdoor experiences Junior Master Gardeners learn where food comes from, how it grows and the importance of fruits and vegetables in a healthy diet. Youth who want to enroll must be in grades 2-5 for the current 2016/2017 school year. Learn more HERE

Junior Master Gardener is sponsored by Intermountain Healthcare.

GROWING LEADERS

What Is an Education Growing Leader?
Growing Leaders are teen volunteers and youth leaders at Thanksgiving Point. Enrolled in 4-H, club members will have opportunities to learn, serve and grow. Growing Leaders are also encouraged and supported in pursuit of their individual interests and passions.

With multiple museums, classes, and events going on throughout the year, there are so many ways to get involved. Growing Leaders may choose to mentor children as summer camp counselors, help run events, take care of the gardens, and other duties based on their interests. For more information or to apply, email Spencer Mayberry at smayberry@thanksgivingpoint.org
