What’s New at Luminaria in 2026?

This year, five new experiences are joining the Luminaria lineup.

Christmas on the Lake

See Ashton Gardens in a whole new way as towering illuminated Christmas trees rise above the water and create dazzling reflections across the lake.
Christmas on the Lake adds a completely new scene to the Luminaria experience and gives families another unforgettable stop for holiday photos.

Snow Glow Dance Party

The lights are on and the music is up. Head inside the Greenhouse for the Snow Glow Dance Party, where families can dance along to favorite holiday songs on a colorful glowing dance floor.

Ignite the Night

The Waterfall Amphitheatre transforms after dark with an all-new immersive nighttime show. Ignite the Night combines brilliant animation, music, lighting, special effects, and flames on a 120-foot digital stage to tell an original Luminaria story centered on redemption, belonging, and why Christmas is better together.

Carol-oke

Step up to the mic and sing your favorite Christmas classics at the all-new Carol-oke. Whether you want to take center stage or sing along from the crowd, this interactive experience is all about music, laughter, and making holiday memories together.

Gingerbread Lane

Follow the path into a whimsical world of glowing gingerbread friends, charming houses, and colorful candy creations. Gingerbread Lane brings an extra dose of Christmas sweetness to this year’s Luminaria experience.

Your Favorite Luminaria Traditions Are Back

The new experiences are just part of the night.

Luminaria still brings back the traditions families have returned to year after year, including the iconic Merry Mosaic, featuring 6,500 glowing luminaries and a signature 120-foot Christmas tree synchronized to holiday music.

Throughout the gardens, you will also find larger-than-life toys and ornaments, glowing pathways, festive entertainment, Christmas photo opportunities, and plenty of places to slow down and enjoy the season together.

Warm Up with Holiday Treats

Holiday lights are even better with something warm in your hands.

Luminaria favorites include hot cocoa, famous mini donuts, and a variety of sweet and savory seasonal treats available throughout the gardens.

Guests planning to try several treats can also purchase a Food Punch Card online before their visit and pick it up at the Visitor Center entrance to Luminaria.

Make It Extra Cozy

Want to turn Luminaria into an even more memorable holiday night?

Guests can reserve a private firepit and enjoy their own space to warm up and roast s’mores, or book a heated private igloo for a cozy break from the cold.

For larger groups, the Warming & Gathering Tent offers a private space complete with festive décor and a firepit.

Upgrade your Luminaria Night

More Than a Christmas Light Display

Luminaria is designed to be an entire holiday night in one destination.
You can walk through millions of lights, watch a nighttime show, sing Christmas songs, dance together, enjoy seasonal food, gather around a firepit, take family photos, and explore immersive holiday scenes throughout 50 acres of Ashton Gardens.
It is not just something to see. It is something to experience together.

Your Visit Helps Support Utah Kids

Thanksgiving Point is a community-owned nonprofit dedicated to helping children grow in curiosity, compassion, and confidence.

Every Luminaria ticket helps support that mission, including Every Kid Counts, an initiative focused on making hands-on learning experiences more accessible to children throughout Utah.

That means your holiday night out also helps create more opportunities for children and families across the state.
