A free program for Grades 3-5 and 6-12

Museum of Natural Curiosity

Thanksgiving Point is proud to partner with Girls Who Code as a host site! This 10-session course meets weekly and teaches coding fundamentals in a fun and comfortable environment. Girls Who Code welcomes all gender identities that want to be a part of a female-empowering environment! We offer two levels of coding classes. For questions email girlsinstem@thanksgivingpoint.org.

Girls Who Code Level 1
Learn the basics of block coding in this 10-week course.
3rd-5th Grade: Mondays beginning September 19, 4:30 – 6 PM
6th-12th Grade: Mondays beginning September 19, 4:30 – 6 PM

Girls Who Code Level 2
Dive deeper into video game development and intermediate coding. Participants need to have previously attended Level 1 or have sufficient coding experience. 
3rd-12th Grade: Wednesdays beginning September 21, 4:30 – 6 PM

Our brand new Girls in Science Club is a 10-week club geared toward grades 5-10. Girls will explore different science fields and enjoy immersive experiences at the Museum of Natural Curiosity. This program is free to attend but does have a small materials fee. Girls in Science Club welcomes those who identify as female, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and others that want to be a part of a female-empowering environment!
