Dino Detective party
Museum of Ancient Life
Help our paleontologists solve a mystery inside the museum! Learn all about dinosaurs during the one-hour tour, enjoy the themed activities, then head to the decorated party room for cupcakes and presents.

We strongly recommend inquiring about a specific date and time as early as possible, as dates and times may book out weeks in advance.
Current Thanksgiving Point members receive a 10 percent discount off of the total party package price.
After booking your party, Thanksgiving Point will send you a receipt within a few minutes and then you will receive an additional email within 1-2 business days by email or phone to gather additional details for your party.
Once the party details have been provided, Thanksgiving Point will send you the birthday party contract confirmation one week before your party date.
A transfer of date, time or venue may be made up to two weeks in advance of the requested date, depending on availability, for a $20.00 processing fee.
Any changes to a party must be received at least 2 weeks in advance. Changes made in less than 2 weeks will result in a $50 fee. Cancellations forfeit the deposit and any transfer fee.
We require at least 1 adult to be present.
Birthday child and parents of the birthday child are included in the total guest count (maximum 15 or 20 people).
Other parents are welcome to drop their children off at the chosen venue. However, if the parent(s) of your invited guests stay for the party, yes, they are included in the party count.
No. If do exceed the limit day-of, you will either be charged an additional fee per person or guests will be refused. If you have the basic package and exceed your limit, we may bump you to the premium fee. Please consider upgrading if you think you will go over 15 persons (maximum capacity 20 persons).
You may bring your own themed party cake. Other food only accepted at specific venues with prior notice. Please contact us at 801-768-4971 if you intend to bring any outside food. You are responsible to provide your own paper products.
The rooms are pre-decorated, but you may bring other decorations, if desired, such as table decorations, banners, etc. Farm Country does have room for a pinata.
Any type of balloons are NOT allowed at Farm Country due to the safety/comfort of the animals.
Helium balloons are NOT allowed at the Museum of Ancient Life, the Museum of Natural Curiosity or the Butterfly Biosphere due to the issues of balloons floating to the ceiling/landing on exhibits.
Birthday party rooms are only included in the party package. We do not offer the party rooms for individual rental. If you are interested in a room rental or private event, find more information online under Weddings & Events, or inquire at events@thanksgivingpoint.org.
Organized birthday parties are not allowed on Thanksgiving Point Property unless part of the Thanksgiving Point Birthday Party program, which must be booked in advance.
