Read-a-Saurus Mondays

Don’t let that education go to waste! Sign the kiddos up for Dig Into Reading, the new summer reading program at Dinosaur Island. The easiest way to participate? Join us for Read-a-Saurus Mondays. Each Monday throughout the summer, children can read inside the Ashton Gardens next to a featured dinosaur of the week – during this time, parents will keep track of their reading log. Bring a blanket, snack, and whatever you need to feel comfortable outside. Need some reading ideas? Grab a book from the Little Library in the Visitors Center! Take a book or donate one to the Little Library for a new adventure with each visit.

Join us for our weekly storytelling adventure, Tales for Tots! Each week, staff will engage guests with interactive storytelling as well as movement and/or music activities that connect to the theme of the day.

This summer, the dinos come alive at night! Join us for Dinos After Dark, the new evening event at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life. Explore the museum like never before as you wander through the halls, uniquely-lit for a new viewing experience. Enjoy exclusive programs like puppet shows, storytelling adventures, and scavenger hunts, plus receive free popcorn and sodas! Don’t forget to snap some awesome photos at our dino-mite photo ops. Unearthing the Rutland Sea Dragon

Internationally recognized paleontologist, ichthyosaurs expert, and author Dr. Dean Lomax will join us at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life for a dino-lover’s dream presentation! Hear all about his experience unearthing the giant Rutland Sea Dragon, the largest fossil found in the UK, plus learn more about his incredible background and the dino-digs that changed his life. After the presentation, Dr. Lomax will sign two of his books – Locked in Time and Prehistoric Pets – and will answer questions from guests. Join us at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life on June 17, 2023, at 1:30 pm for this incredible paleo-event!

Utah Symphony

Experience the transformative power of a live performance of the Utah Symphony at the awe-inspiring Waterfall Amphitheatre. Founded in 1940, the Utah Symphony is one of America’s major symphony orchestras, known internationally for its distinctive performances and recording legacy. Today, the orchestra’s 85 full-time professional musicians perform over 175 concerts each season. Bring a picnic, grab concessions or pre-order a picnic dinner. Following the performance enjoy a firework show.
