Long lines of lit luminaries with a colorful pattern leading to a pole strung with lights to look like a tree

Luminaria

November 14 – January 4
Closed Sundays, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day

Luminaria is an enchanting walk through Ashton Gardens that transports you to another world with all of the sights, smells, sounds, and tastes of the holidays.  A one-way path guides you past a light and music show on 6,500 programmable luminaries blanketing a hill, with each luminary a pixel in a moving picture of flying reindeer, ombré waves, and other signs of the season. Songs and shows will be even better with the iconic 120-foot tree (already on top of a 40-foot hill!) incorporated into the show.

Sensory Friendly Tuesday Evenings

Sensory Friendly Tuesday Evenings

Museum of Natural Curiosity

1st and 3rd Tuesdays, every month
5 – 8 pm

December 3, 17: 4 – 6 pm

To meet the needs of our community, we are excited to announce Sensory Friendly Tuesday Evenings. Families are invited to explore the Museum of Natural Curiosity in a sensory-modified environment with lights turned down, reduced sound, and extra signage to help create a safe and less stimulating environment. There will also be a designated quiet area for those who need a respite. These evenings are reserved exclusively for families and children with special needs, autism, or sensory processing differences.
