Autumn brings stunning displays to Ashton Gardens as vibrant mums, ornamental kale, dahlias, and roses bring the gardens to life with rich autumn colors. While you explore, enjoy hands-on activity stations featuring watercolor painting, scent testing, seed observation, bird watching, flower crafts, and interactive science experiences that uncover the fascinating world of plants.

Complete a garden scavenger hunt, explore inspiring displays from the Utah Dahlia Society, learn from dahlia-growing experts, take home fresh-cut flowers, and return for the popular cut-flower sale on September 28–29 while supplies last. Every showcase ticket includes a return pass for the cut dahlia sale, while supplies last.

Guided Garden Tours
Explore the colors of the season on a free guided walking tour with a Thanksgiving Point Docent. Discover the Dahlia Garden, Fragrance Garden Fields, vibrant displays of mums, and other seasonal highlights throughout Ashton Gardens.

Growing Full size dahlia plants from pot tubers

This class demonstrates a unique method of growing dahlias for easy propagation in limited space. Ann Bailey will share her experience producing full size plants in 6” cups, reducing workload at harvest, and successfully farming over 900 dahlia clumps in a single season.
