Dino Day is back for another dino-mite celebration packed with prehistoric fun! Celebrate Hunter the Dinosaur’s birthday with special programming at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life, including birthday photos with Hunter himself, unique presentations from paleontology experts, a special Lab Live with resident paleontologist Rick, and so much more. Plus, be among the first to explore our brand-new exhibit, “Built for Battle,” in the Jurassic Hall, roaring to life just in time for the celebration. Bring your curiosity and your party spirit to Hunter’s Birthday Bash at Dino Day!

Lab Live: Stump the Paleontologist

Bring your big questions to Rick Hunter, Thanksgiving Point’s resident paleontologist, and see if you can stump him during this special Lab Live!

Grab a photo with our living dinosaur Hunter every hour starting at 11:30 for a fun memory and keepsake!

Six paleoartists will be live painting throughout the museum during Dino Day! Watch them create prehistoric art and ask questions about their styles and designs.

education stations

Meet with our educations and learn about T. rexes, aquatic reptiles, dinosaur claws, and more with our education stations placed throughout the venue, offering hands-on activities for kids of all ages!

scavenger hunt

Join the fun with our annual Scavenger Hunt – figure out all the clues, win a prize! Options available for toddlers and elementary-aged kids.

 

Paleontology presentations

Eager to learn even more about the world of paleontology? Head upstairs to the Amber Room for in-depth presentations about dinosaurs and different prehistoric eras. This is great for kids and adults who are eager to dive deeper into ancient life!
