Field Trip Scholarships

Scholarships for the 2024-25 school year will open on the following dates:

• July 1, 2024 for Title 1 Schools and schools who qualify for Title 1
• September 15, 2024 for all other schools

Scholarship requests will not be accepted before these dates. 

A field trip to one Thanksgiving Point venue is available once per year, per grade level, and is only provided while scholarship funds are still available. Field trips must be booked 30 days in advance. Scholarship funding may be applied to field trips from September to May only. Scholarship funding is not available for field trips from June. to August.

A Scholarship Request Form must be accompanied by a Field Trip Request Form.

Public Schools:

Thanksgiving Point receives funds from the Utah State Office of Educators Informal Science Education Enhancement (iSEE) group to extend scholarship field trip opportunities to public schools, K-12, on a first-come, first-serve basis. A field trip to one Thanksgiving Point venue per year, per grade level is provided while scholarship funds are still available. Field trips must be booked 30 days in advance. Scholarship funding is not available for any field trips from June through August.

Title 1 Schools:

Are you a Title I School in need of field trip assistance? At Thanksgiving Point, we believe curriculum-related field trips provide a valuable learning experience for your students. Each year, many generous donors provide assistance to Title I Schools by funding field trip scholarships.

With this support, Thanksgiving Point is offering field trip assistance to all Title I Schools (grades K-12) who apply for a scholarship. Students of an entire grade level per selected school will receive scholarships to attend a Thanksgiving Point field trip at one Thanksgiving Point venue for FREE.

We are excited to bring the joy of learning and wonders of the natural world to life for you and your students at Thanksgiving Point. We are also grateful for our generous donors who make this scholarship program possible. Scholarship funds do not apply to transportation, movies, pony rides, or additional add-on experiences.
