Birthday Parties



Wishing you a Happy Birthday, from a social distance! In  accordance with “Utah Leads Together” Moderate Risk guidelines, we will not be booking birthday parties at this time. We are hopeful that in the "Low Risk Stage" we will be able to start having parties again in our venues. We look forward to celebrating with you soon!


Make birthday wishes come true! Choose the Thanksgiving Point party venue that best suits your guest of honor's unique interests. Guests will learn and play together from paleontology to fancy tea parties, from investigating nature to farming festivities. Explore the possibilities!

Birthday Parties at Thanksgiving Point allow you to enjoy the experience too! We prepare the room in advance, have personal party hosts that facilitate and engage guests in theme-based activities, and clean up when it’s all done.
Book the party, invite your guests, and we will do the rest!


All Parties Include: 

  • Private 2-hour themed party room reservation at venue of your choice
  • Personal party host(s) leading theme-based activities
  • 2 dozen Thanksgiving Point bakery cupcakes
  • 2 drinks of your choice and water
  • Venue admission for attending party guests on the day of the party
  • Paper plates, cups, and napkins as well as table cloths (food not included)
  • Themed party favors for all child guests
  • Set-up and Clean-up

Booking a Party


  • All adults and children ages 2 and older are included in the total headcount
  • $250 for up to 15 people
  • Additional guests are $15 per person.
  • A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve room. The deposit is applied toward the final payment which will be made at the venue after the party is over based on the final headcount.


Birthday parties are available at several preset times of your choosing:

  • Fridays, 2-4pm or 5-7pm
  • Saturdays, 10am-Noon, 1pm-3pm, or 4pm-6pm 

Parties must be booked at least two weeks in advance. 

*certain seasons, holidays, or events may affect birthday date and time availability.

Member Info

  • The party parent will receive a 10% discount off the total for the party.
  • Member must be present at the final payment to receive the discount.
  • All guests over the age of 2 are included in the final headcount.
  • Guests with Thanksgiving Point memberships do NOT have free admission to the party. Birthday parties are a private event that includes venue admission. If any guest wants to come through the venue with the group before or after the party, they are welcome to use their membership to do so but it does not include free admission to the birthday party.

Cowboy/Cowgirl Party

Giddy up to Farm Country. Experience up close encounters riding ponies, feeding animals, and visits from friendly farm pals.

This party includes:

-One pony ride for each child

-Small bags of feed for guests to feed the animals

-Wagon ride for the whole group

-Visit from a farm animal


*Maximum of 30 guests
*Outside food is allowed with prior notice
*There is space for a pinata



Dino-Mite Party

For the aspiring paleontologist or dinosaur lover a Dino-Mite party is sure to cause a roar of excitement! Explore one of the world’s largest dinosaur museums through the eyes of a scientist. Excavate your own dinosaur, make plaster casts, and dig-in to dinosaur life.

This party includes:

-Fossil molding and casting activity

-Tour of the museum

-Mammoth Movie Theater add-on available for $6 per person

Lego Party

Our Lego Party transports you into the future as you play, construct, create and innovate. Be a robotics engineer as you use your imagination to design and build with Lego WeDO 2.0 robotics! Perfect for kids ages 7-10, this party can host a max of 12 kids.

This party includes:

-Use of Lego WeDo 2.0 kits

-Building/robotic games and activities

-Mammoth Movie Theater add-on available for $6 per person

Curiosi-Tea Party

For the fancy at heart. Gather around the table for a tea party with real tea sets, tea time snacks, and dress ups. Paint a pot and plant a flower to take home and watch it grow.

This party includes:

-Painting a terracotta pot and planting a flower

-Dress ups

-Tea party with real tea sets and light snacks including crackers, cheese, and fruit


*Maximum of 25 guests
*No food is allowed at this venue (An exception can be made for guests bringing their own cake)
*High Ropes Course add-on is available at this venue




Nature Explorer Party

Embark on an adventure through the natural world! Engage in unique, up close experiences with insects, animals, and plants. Build and paint your own bird house to enjoy at home.

This party includes:

-Building and painting a birdhouse

-Nature scavenger hunt

-Games and observation activities


*Maximum of 25 guests
*No food is allowed at this venue (An exception can be made for guests bringing their own cake)
*High Ropes Course add-on is available at this venue



Happy Bug-Day Party

Let the insects join your celebration by turning your big day into a bug day. Tremendous fun will be had among the world’s itsy-bitsy creatures.

This party includes:

-Insect encounters

-Conservatory Scavenger Hunt

-Build an insect habitat to observe at home


*Maximum of 20 guests
*Butterfly release add-on is available at this venue
      - $3 per person
      - Must be added & paid for at least 5 days before party date
*No food is allowed at this venue (An exception can be made for guests bringing their own cake)

We strongly recommend inquiring about a specific date and time as early as possible, as dates and times may book out weeks in advance.


Current Thanksgiving Point members receive a 10 percent discount off of the total party package price

After booking your party, Thanksgiving Point will contact you within 3-5 business days by email or phone to gather additional details for your party. 

Once the party details have been provided, Thanksgiving Point will send you the birthday party contract confirmation one week before your party date. 

A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book a date and time. The balance is due the day of the party at the conclusion of the party. Payment is taken at the admission desk of the venue where the party takes place.

A transfer of date, time or venue may be made up to two weeks in advance of the requested date, depending on availability, for a $20.00 processing fee.

Cancellations forfeit the deposit and any transfer fee.

We require at least 1 adult per party.

Parents are welcome to drop their children off at the chosen venue. However, if the parent(s) of your invited guests stay for the party, yes, they are included in the party count.

Yes! You may bring your own themed party cake. Other food only accepted at specific venues with prior notice.

The rooms are pre-decorated, but you may bring other decorations, if desired, such as table decorations, banners, etc. Farm Country does have room for a pinata.

Any type of balloons are NOT allowed at Farm Country due to the safety/comfort of the animals.

Helium balloons are NOT allowed at the Museum of Ancient Life, the Museum of Natural Curiosity or the Butterfly Biosphere due to the issues of balloons floating to the ceiling/landing on exhibits.

The party room space can be rented for 2 hours at the Museum of Ancient Life, based on availability for $200. Call 801-768-4971 to inquire or book a time.

Organized birthday parties are not allowed on Thanksgiving Point Property unless part of the Thanksgiving Point Birthday Party program, which must be booked in advance.
