Make birthday wishes come true! Choose the Thanksgiving Point party venue that best suits your guest of honor's unique interests. Guests will learn and play together from paleontology to fancy tea parties, from investigating nature to farming festivities. Explore the possibilities!


Dino Detective Parties Now Available!


All Parties Include: 

  • Household parties with a maximum of 10 people
  • Private 1.5-hour themed party room reservation for a Dino Detective party.
  • Personal party host(s) leading theme-based activities
  • Venue admission for attending party guests on the day of the party
  • Themed party favors for all child guests
  • Cupcakes and Drinks
  • Paper plates, cups, and napkins as well as table cloths 
  • Set-up and Clean-up 

Booking a Party


  • All adults and children ages 2 and older are included in the total headcount
  • $175 for up to 10 people in the same household
  • A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve room. The deposit is applied toward the final payment which will be made at the venue after the party is over based on the final headcount.


Birthday parties are currently available at several preset times of your choosing:

  • Fridays, 5pm-6:30pm 
  • Saturdays, 11am-12:30pm, 2pm-3:30pm, 5:00pm-6:30pm 

Parties must be booked at least two weeks in advance. 

*certain seasons, holidays, or events may affect birthday date and time availability.

Member Info

  • The party parent will receive a 10% discount off the total for the party.
  • Member must be present at the final payment to receive the discount.
  • All guests over the age of 2 are included in the final headcount.
  • Guests with Thanksgiving Point memberships do NOT have free admission to the party. Birthday parties are a private event that includes venue admission. If any guest wants to come through the venue with the group before or after the party, they are welcome to use their membership to do so but it does not include free admission to the birthday party.

Celebrate your birthday helping our paleontologists solve a mystery in the museum! Your party will include an hour exploring the venue with our party host, after which you can head to our decorated party room to enjoy cupcakes and presents.  

This party includes:

-Tour of the museum

-Mammoth Movie Theater add-on available for $6 per person

We strongly recommend inquiring about a specific date and time as early as possible, as dates and times may book out weeks in advance.


A household is defined by people living in the same space.

We ask that you limit guests to those in your household you are comfortable being within 6 feet of. If you want others to join, we ask that they purchase venue tickets to meet you in the venue after the party.  

Employees temperatures are checked upon arrival. Employees are required to wear masks and are provided gloves as necessary. Guests are encouraged to wear masks and asked not to come if they are showing any symptoms. Sanitation practices are increased across property including rooms will be cleaned thoroughly before every birthday party. Additionally, gloves will be worn as necessary and guests will be provided individual supplies for any party projects.

Current Thanksgiving Point members receive a 10 percent discount off of the total party package price

After booking your party, Thanksgiving Point will contact you within 3-5 business days by email or phone to gather additional details for your party. 

Once the party details have been provided, Thanksgiving Point will send you the birthday party contract confirmation one week before your party date. 

A $100.00 non-refundable deposit is required to book a date and time. The balance is due the day of the party at the conclusion of the party. Payment is taken at the admission desk of the venue where the party takes place.

A transfer of date, time or venue may be made up to two weeks in advance of the requested date, depending on availability, for a $20.00 processing fee.

Cancellations forfeit the deposit and any transfer fee.

We require at least 1 adult per party.

Birthday child and parents of the birthday child are included in the total guest count (maximum 10 people). 

Other parents are welcome to drop their children off at the chosen venue. However, if the parent(s) of your invited guests stay for the party, yes, they are included in the party count.

Yes! You may bring your own themed party cake. Other food only accepted at specific venues with prior notice.

The rooms are pre-decorated, but you may bring other decorations, if desired, such as table decorations, banners, etc. Farm Country does have room for a pinata.

Any type of balloons are NOT allowed at Farm Country due to the safety/comfort of the animals.

Helium balloons are NOT allowed at the Museum of Ancient Life, the Museum of Natural Curiosity or the Butterfly Biosphere due to the issues of balloons floating to the ceiling/landing on exhibits.

The party room space can be rented for 2 hours at the Museum of Ancient Life, based on availability for $200. Call 801-768-4971 to inquire or book a time.

Organized birthday parties are not allowed on Thanksgiving Point Property unless part of the Thanksgiving Point Birthday Party program, which must be booked in advance.
