This precision can reduce overlapping passes through a field, helping farmers save fuel and use seed, fertilizer, and other resources more efficiently.

The technology isn’t just a prototype, either. Carbon Robotics reports that its original commercial LaserWeeder is owned and operated by more than 100 growers across North America, Europe, and Australia.
