What Is Imaginaria?
Imaginaria is Thanksgiving Point’s all-new summer festival celebrating imagination, creativity, exploration, and the American spirit.
Throughout the 50-acre gardens, families can explore immersive themed zones inspired by America’s history, innovation, and culture. Guests can race through the 250-foot obstacle course, zoom down the Mega Slide, discover interactive learning experiences, create hands-on crafts, and walk among larger-than-life monuments that bring history to life in a whole new way.
One of the most exciting parts of Imaginaria is the Monument Walk experience, where kids can stand beside artistic recreations of some of the most recognizable landmarks in the United States.
The Statue of Liberty
One of the biggest landmarks guests will discover at Imaginaria is the towering Statue of Liberty.
The real Statue of Liberty was gifted to the United States by France in 1886 as a symbol of freedom and friendship between the two countries. Standing on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, the statue has welcomed millions of immigrants and visitors arriving in America for more than 100 years.
Lady Liberty stands over 300 feet tall from the ground to the tip of her torch. The seven spikes on her crown represent the seven continents and seven oceans, symbolizing freedom around the world.
At Imaginaria, families can stand beneath a massive 40-foot Statue of Liberty recreation right inside Ashton Gardens. It’s one of the festival’s most breathtaking sights and gives guests the chance to experience this iconic American landmark without leaving Utah.
The Liberty Bell
Another famous American symbol guests will recognize at Imaginaria is the Liberty Bell.
The real Liberty Bell is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and became an important symbol of American independence and freedom.
The bell was originally created in 1752 for the Pennsylvania State House, now known as Independence Hall. It became famous because of the large crack running down its side, which has made it one of the most recognizable bells in the world.
The Liberty Bell is closely connected to the signing of the Declaration of Independence and has inspired generations of Americans with its message of liberty and equality.
At Imaginaria, families can see this legendary symbol brought to life while exploring the stories that helped shape America’s history.
The Lincoln Memorial
The Lincoln Memorial is one of the most visited monuments in Washington, D.C., and honors President Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States.
Completed in 1922, the memorial features a giant seated statue of Lincoln overlooking the National Mall. Inside the monument, visitors can read famous speeches including the Gettysburg Address and Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address.
The Lincoln Memorial has also become an important location in American history. It was the site of Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech during the Civil Rights Movement in 1963.
At Imaginaria, kids can explore a recreation inspired by the Lincoln Memorial while learning about leadership, courage, and unity in American history.
Experience the stories behind one of America’s most powerful monuments this summer at Imaginaria.
The Washington Monument
Standing tall above the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the Washington Monument honors George Washington, the first president of the United States.
The monument was completed in 1884 and stands over 555 feet tall, making it the tallest stone structure in the world. Its design was inspired by ancient Egyptian obelisks and remains one of the most recognizable landmarks in America today.
Construction of the monument actually paused for many years due to funding and historical events, which is why visitors can still notice slight color differences in the stone today.
At Imaginaria, families can experience this famous monument up close while discovering fun historical facts and stories about America’s founding.
Mount Rushmore
One of the most recognizable landmarks in the United States is Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
Located in South Dakota, Mount Rushmore features the carved faces of four U.S. presidents:
- George Washington
- Thomas Jefferson
- Theodore Roosevelt
- Abraham Lincoln
The monument was carved into the side of a mountain between 1927 and 1941 and represents important moments in American history including the nation’s founding, growth, development, and preservation.
Each presidential face is about 60 feet tall, making Mount Rushmore one of the largest sculptures in the world.
At Imaginaria, families can stand beside recreations inspired by Mount Rushmore while learning more about the people and moments that shaped the United States.
