Every year, National STEM Day reminds us how science, technology, engineering, and math shape our world – and at Thanksgiving Point, we make these subjects come alive through hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and confidence in kids of all ages.
A Community Built on Curiosity
In 2024 alone, Thanksgiving Point welcomed 3.6 million total visits and 1.5 million visitors across our seven world-class venues. Each day, families discover how STEM connects to everyday life – from exploring dinosaur fossils at the Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life, to experimenting with circuits at the Museum of Natural Curiosity, to learning about sustainable farming at Curiosity Farms.
180 Daily STEM Discovery Programs Every Week
STEM learning does not just happen in a classroom – it happens everywhere. Thanksgiving Point offers more than 180 STEM discovery programs every week, spread throughout our venues. These programs invite guests of all ages to question, build, test, and create through interactive activities and demonstrations that encourage hands-on exploration.
From Critter Encounters in the Butterfly Biosphere to Plant Lab experiments at Curiosity Farms, each program is designed to ignite curiosity and build confidence through play and discovery.
Bringing STEM to Every Community
Thanksgiving Point proudly operates 18 Community STEM Outreach Centers across Utah. Our outreach programs are designed to bring high-quality STEM education opportunities to children from all walks of life.
We believe every child deserves access to inspiring, hands-on learning experiences – no matter their background. That is why our outreach efforts are flexible and community-driven, adapting to local needs and offering free informal education opportunities that meet families where they are.
In 2024, these outreach centers and programs served over 37,625 families and children, empowering them to discover the fun side of STEM through creativity and curiosity.
