Every fall at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah, our gardens come alive with activity as we get ready for one of the state’s favorite spring traditions: the Tulip Festival. This year, we’re planting nearly 490,000 flower bulbs to make sure Tulip Festival 2026 is our biggest and brightest yet.

Of the nearly half a million bulbs we’re planting, just over 400,000 are tulips – the main attraction. The rest are a colorful mix of daffodils, hyacinths, allium, and fritillaria, so there’s always something new to enjoy each week of the festival.

In addition to these seasonal plantings, we add perennial bulbs to the gardens every year. These come back each season, so by now, there are hundreds of thousands of blooms beyond those planted just for the Tulip Festival.

Sourced from Holland, Designed for Utah

Our shipment of tulip bulbs arrives in late September, all the way from Holland—the world’s tulip capital. We partner with two of the top Dutch growers, Ruigrok and Westerbeek, to bring the highest quality bulbs to Thanksgiving Point. Soon after they arrive, thousands of crates filled with tulips and other spring blooms are unloaded, sorted, and planted by our horticulture team across the 50-acre Ashton Gardens.

A World of Tulips in One Garden

One of the most unique features of Tulip Festival is the Fragrance Garden, where you can experience tulips like never before. This carefully curated space will showcase 168 different tulip varieties from around the world – all sourced straight from Holland. With about 30 bulbs of each variety, it’s one of the rare places in Utah where you can see so many distinct types of tulips gathered in one garden. From subtle pastels to striking bicolors, every step offers a new discovery. For tulip lovers, photographers, and anyone curious about the incredible diversity of this flower, the Fragrance Garden is truly a must-see.
