As an oasis in the desert, the Ashton Gardens features 50-acres of stately gardens, grand lawns, as well as the largest manmade waterfall in the Western Hemisphere. Come rejuvenate yourself and enjoy nature’s beauty in these secluded gardens. Stroll through the 15 themed gardens to enjoy the cascading fountains in the Italian Gardens, visit the I Am The Light Of The World sculpture garden, get a bird’s eye view of the gardens from the Vista Garden, feed the fish at Koi View Pier, and discover the Secret Garden. You can even rent golf carts, wheelchairs, or electric scooters for another way to “stroll” through the gardens. Stop at the Shop at the Gardens for a hat or souvenir on your way home.

Trellis Café

La tienda de los jardines

Encontrar dulces y recuerdos en la Tienda de los Jardines ubicado en el Centro de Visitantes de los Jardines de Ashton. La tienda se ofrece mercancías como tarjetas postales, playeras, suéteres, dulces y bebidas para llevar consigo en los jardines. También tenemos bloqueador si no lo llevó consigo.

  • Golf carts are available to rent in advance online or in-person. Advance reservations are subject to an additional fee, but in-person rentals are subject to availability. 
  • Electric Scooters and wheelchairs are also available to rent online or in-person. Advance reservations are subject to an additional fee, but in-person rentals are subject to availability. 
  • Advance reservations for Electric Scooters are not available during the Tulip Festival.
  • No rentals are available 90 minutes prior to closing.

On Wednesdays beginning June 2, we invite you to bring your favorite four-legged friend with you to Ashton Gardens. Pups must be well-behaved and on a leash. Advance ticket reservations is highly encouraged

Join the Secret Garden Book Club at the Ashton Gardens! Read selected books over spring, summer, and fall. After, discuss and share ideas then take those ideas out into the Ashton Gardens and put them into practice. Subscribe for the season or just for the months you can come!

Be inspired and discover a new favorite on our guided tree walk tour. Led by our garden docents, these tours are designed to showcase trees that can be incorporated into the Utah landscape. Tours leave from the back patio and are included with regular venue admission.

Mondays and Fridays, 9:30 am

During the Tulip Festival (April 9th-May 8th) Guided Garden Walks are offered Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Learn about Ashton Gardens, its history, and the plants within. Led by our garden docents, this walking tour takes about 1.5 hours and is included with regular venue admission. Tours depart from the back patio.

ASHTON GARDENS FEATURES

Sean Kenney's Nature Connects®

Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point is proud to welcome Sean Kenney's Nature Connects made with Lego® bricks! This amazing, value added exhibit will be on display in Ashton Gardens from May 21 through August 28.

Each sculpture is built by Kenney and his team of nearly 10 artists who work in their professional studio based in Brooklyn, New York. The sculptures are fully glued, steel reinforced, custom-curated and durable to withstand the life of the exhibit.

Trellis Café

Located in the Thanksgiving Point Ashton Garden Visitor Center, the Trellis Café offers tasty cuisine with a healthy helping of breezy ambiance. A popular destination spot for those who lunch, the Trellis Café is open throughout the garden season. During that time, you'll find some of the most stunning patio dining available, accompanied by an artful array of sandwiches.

Garden Path Greenhouse

See something you like at the Ashton Gardens? The Garden Path Greenhouse is there to help you make it happen. You'll find a lush array of potted hanging baskets, annual and perennial plants, and lovely garden decor.

Located inside the Ashton Gardens.  No admission fee required to visit.

Experience the transformative power of a live performance of the Utah Symphony at the awe-inspiring Waterfall Amphitheater. Following the performance enjoy a firework show.

Tuesdays

MELODY MAKERS

Join us for a new mini version of our popular Melody Makers program, Tuesdays at the Ashton Gardens. Led by our education staff, Melody Makers is the perfect opportunity for little kids and their adults to dance and move in a fun and friendly environment. Come see what each unique staff member has to offer with a variety of engaging songs and themes each week.

Venues are timed ticketed. Please reserve a ticket for the 10:30am time slot to allow time to meet us near the concessions and restrooms behind the garden’s main amphitheater. Let the music guide you to our special spot. After playing with us, bring a picnic and enjoy the sunshine.

Wednesdays

CULTIVATING KIDS

Join us Wednesday mornings at 10am in the Learning Garden for a look at gardening basics! From water and soil to plant parts and pollinators, this program gets the whole family out into the garden exploring and discovering. Geared towards the little ones in your life, this program will help their roots grow deep into the world of gardening.

Wednesdays – Ashton Gardens Learning Garden - 10:00am

April 7th – October 16th

Staff will ensure that materials are sanitized properly after use. Family groups may have their own set of materials if applicable. Outdoor spaces will be used and guests will be encouraged to sit at a safe distance. Masks are required for all participants 3 years of age and above.

Open with regular garden season

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD GARDEN

The Light of the World garden is a two-and-a-half acre garden inside the Ashton Gardens with artwork and themed landscaping donated by the I Am the Light of the World Foundation. Created by Utah artist Angela Johnson, the garden includes a total of 15 scenes and 35 statues, with 14 scenes from the New Testament and one LDS Church-inspired scene depicting Joseph Smith’s First Vision. The sculpture garden offers guests a walk through the life and miracles of Jesus Christ and a space for quiet reflection.

Explorer Pass

See it all with an Explorer Pass! A Thanksgiving Point Explorer Pass grants admission into all five venues (Museum of Natural Curiosity, Farm County, Museum of Ancient Life, Ashton Gardens, and Butterfly Biosphere) for one day.

Museums for All

Museums for all is a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM), to encourage people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits.

With presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer card, admission is available for up to six people, at $2 per person. Available in person only. Not available for online purchases.
