The SheTech Internship Program at Thanksgiving Point offers high school girls the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of exciting STEM fields, including agriculture technology, entomology, exhibit design, STEM education, outdoor education, wetland restoration, and more.
In partnership with SheTech, this program connects students with inspiring female mentors who are leaders in their fields. Interns will work on real-world projects, build valuable skills, and explore careers that are shaping the future of science, technology, and the environment. This program is designed to inspire the next generation of female STEM leaders and provide the support, guidance, and opportunities necessary for their success.

Provides hands-on experience in environmental education and sustainability, inspiring a love for nature while promoting responsible outdoor practices
Wetland restoration
Participating in projects to restore and protect wetland ecosystems
Research and Design
Engaging in the process of research and development, creating solutions based on findings
Project management
Learning to manage and oversee projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination
design and marketing
Creating designs for marketing materials and promoting programs, events, or products
hydroponics
Supporting hydroponic farming initiatives and educating about sustainable farming practices
girls in stem programming
Helping facilitate STEM activities and events for young women in science, technology, engineering, art, and math
coding curriculum
Developing coding curriculum focused on younger students, including beginner-level programming and block coding
makerspace & engineering curriculum
Assisting with the creation of hands-on projects and engineering curriculum
school programs
Creating and delivering interactive STEM programs for K-12 students, including field trip lessons and classroom visits
The SheTech Internship Program at Thanksgiving Point is accredited through Alpine School District for the Fall and Spring semesters only. Some positions may require more than the 40 hours per semester required by the district. Interns assigned these specific positions will receive a Team Member membership to Thanksgiving Point for the duration of their internship, in recognition of their commitment.
