Garden of Quilts Is Now Open at Thanksgiving Point 

At the heart of Garden of Quilts is its stunning outdoor quilt exhibit. 

More than 500 colorful, handmade quilts are thoughtfully displayed throughout Ashton Gardens, creating a quilt show surrounded by nature. The gardens span 50 acres and include grand lawns, themed garden spaces, and one of Thanksgiving Point’s most recognizable features—the largest manmade waterfall in America. 

As you explore the exhibit, quilts move gently in the breeze while flowers and greenery create a natural backdrop for each piece. 

Artists from around the world submit quilts to Garden of Quilts each year, filling the event with different styles, patterns, colors, techniques, and stories. 

Some quilts are traditional. Others are modern. Some feature detailed patterns and tiny pieces of fabric, while others use bold colors and designs that look like paintings made from textiles. 

Every quilt brings something different to the garden.

Garden of Quilts is designed to celebrate creativity, craftsmanship, and connection.  While the outdoor quilt exhibit is the centerpiece, the full Garden of Quilts experience includes four days of opportunities to learn, create, shop, and connect with other people who love quilting. Thanksgiving Point’s 2026 event includes hands-on classes, demonstrations, trunk shows, special presentations, and a vendor marketplace. 

That makes Garden of Quilts an event for more than experienced quilters. If you’ve been quilting for years, you can discover new techniques and find inspiration for your next project.  If you’re just getting into quilting, you can see what’s possible, learn from experienced makers, and become part of the quilting community.  And if you simply appreciate art, design, color, or handmade work, you can spend the day exploring hundreds of pieces in one of Utah’s most beautiful outdoor settings.

Dozens of vendors come together for a marketplace filled with fabrics, patterns, designs, quilting products, and inspiration.  Meet makers, discover new fabrics, explore the latest quilt designs, and start planning your next project.  And you don’t need a Garden of Quilts admission ticket to shop. 

The Vendor Marketplace is free and open to the public.

One of the most special parts of Garden of Quilts isn’t just what hangs in the gardens. 

It’s the people who gather there. Quilters travel to Thanksgiving Point to share their work, learn from professional designers and makers, shop for new materials, and meet other people who understand their love of quilting. 

Now in its eighth year and presented in partnership with Riley Blake Designs, Garden of Quilts continues to create a space where longtime quilters and new makers can learn from one another.  You may arrive looking for fabric or inspiration.  You might leave with a new technique, a new project idea, or even a new quilting friend.
