Halloween Fun for the Whole Family
Celebrate the Halloween season all October long at Thanksgiving Point. Throughout the month, each venue will be spookily decorated to set the stage for fall adventures. Families can explore pumpkin-themed scavenger hunts, festive Daily STEM Discovery programs, and more. With a focus on curiosity and learning, Spooktober provides the perfect mix of seasonal magic and hands-on fun.
On select dates, families are invited to join Spooktober Costume Parties filled with games, prizes, and exciting activities. Whether you are cheering at a roach race, making monster crafts, or dancing in costume, there is something for everyone.
Spooktober runs October 1–31. Regular venue pricing applies, and members receive free admission. (Please note: on October 31, venues will close early at 4 pm.)

Dinos After Dark @ Mountain America Museum of Ancient Life
Thursdays, October 9, 16, 23, & 30 | 6–8 pm
Dinosaurs meet legends in this year’s Dinos After Dark, where the theme is all about Cryptids. Kids can explore mysterious creatures and legendary beasts while enjoying dino-sized fun. Activities include:
- Elasmosaurus Prize Chute
- Monster Parts Scavenger Hunt
- Cryptid Dress-Up Photo Opp
- LEGO Yeti House building and monster puppet crafts
- Cryptid Yoga and a giant dino meet-and-greet

Creatures of the Night @ Butterfly Biosphere
Fridays, October 10, 17, & 24 | 6–8 pm
Get up close with bats, spiders, and other nocturnal critters at the Creatures of the Night parties. Families can:
- Watch roach races and tarantula feedings
- Join the Arachnid Eyes Scavenger Hunt to earn prizes
- End the evening with a Costume Dance Party at 7:45 pm

Barnyard Boo @ Curiosity Farms
Mondays, October 13, 20, & 27 | 10 am–Noon
Fall fun takes over the farm at Barnyard Boo, where families can:
- Navigate a hay-bale maze
- Join a pumpkin scavenger hunt
- Play festive yard games
- Enjoy costume parties with pumpkin decorating, lasso practice, and animal Storytime during Fables and Stables
- End with a lively costume dance party at 11:45 am

Monster Mash @ Museum of Natural Curiosity
Saturdays, October 11, 18, & 25 | 10 am–Noon
STEM meets spookiness at Monster Mash, a Saturday morning Halloween party that combines fun and learning. Families can:
- Complete five monster-themed STEM activities to earn a prize
- Take part in a cauldron-style prize drop filled with surprises
- Ride the Haunted Carousel for free when wearing a costume
